Airtel launches 4G services in Uttar Pradesh

NEW DELHI: Telecom major Bharti Airtel
today launched its 4G services across 120 towns of Uttar Pradesh
promising high speed mobile broadband experience for its subscribers.
"Airtel 4G has been rolled out in 120 towns of UP on spectrum band of 1800 MHz (FD LTE) to offer a superior 4G experience to customers," Airtel said in a statement.
The
services have been rolled out in major cities of the State which
include Lucknow, Kanpur, Gorakhpur, Varanasi, Allahabad, Agra, Bareilly
and Meerut, to begin with.
"We are delighted to launch our 4G services
in Uttar Pradesh. Our valued customers can now upgrade to 4G free of
cost, and enjoy a high speed mobile broadband experience on the Airtel
network," Bharti Airtel CEO for Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand,
Shailendra Singh said.
Airtel
has rolled out 4G services in UP using spectrum bands of 1800 MHz (FD
LTE) and will extend its 4G footprint to other towns across the State in
the coming months, the statement said.
